Step 1: Visit the SBI online internet banking website at onlinesbi.com

Step 2: There, you will see a box on the left that says ‘Personal Banking’ with the options of Login and Login Lite. For those who are on a stable internet connection, we recommend to choose login, and for those who are on a slower internet connection or are connected via mobile, we recommend Login Lite. Step 3: Read the instructions provided by SBI and click on ‘Continue to Login’. Put in your user name and password, and continue.

Step 5: In the next screen ‘Standing Instructions’, you can find the option ‘Stop Cheque Payments which appears on the left sidebar on the screen. Click on it.

Step 6: Once you are there, fill the details the website asks: Start Cheque Number, End Cheque Number, the kind of cheque it was, and the stop reason. Once you have filled in the details, click on the box below which says ‘I accept the following terms and conditions’ after reading the terms and conditions. Then, click on submit.
